i-CUBE

Concept & Construct:
i-CUBE, a three-dimensional rubric that tracks the progression from ‘Inspire’ to ‘Inquire’ to ‘Innovate’, through consistent application of learning objectives, learning methodology and learning outcomes for achieving a solid foundation. Each dimension of learning further comprises of 6 facets of multi-level skill sets that are complimentary or supplementary to core learning, allowing students to acquire 12 edges in various disciplines:

1. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE - Academics being the core of school education, academics is accelerated by incorporating 21st century skills: 4Cs- Collaboration, Critical thinking, Creativity, and Communication. Academic Achievement ensures that students are provided with the necessary support for scholastic growth. The measure of excellence is implemented by a robust Assessment Matrix to monitor, analyse and improve learning and teaching of students and teachers.

2. DESIGN THINKING AND INNOVATION - Creativity and design thinking in the learners are fostered through project-based learning. Curriculum adaptation combines problem solving approach that helps in acquiring Creative Thinking, Critical Thinking, Communication and Collaboration skills.

3. SPORTING EXCELLENCE - Physical activity is vital to the holistic development of young people, fostering their physical, social and emotional health. Kinesthetic and spatial intelligence helps in developing sports discipline and fitness becomes the core of healthy living.

4. AESTHETICS - Aesthetics is a primary tool for self-discovery and self-actualization. Artistic Expressions include performing arts like speech, debate, singing, dancing and dramatics. Fine Arts include painting, sculpting, use of multi-media for students to learn through visualization and by using their naturalistic instincts. Learning about culture enhances understanding of diversities, values, and the global surroundings and building the right attitudes in life.

5. ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS - A relation between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurship is established through: self-image, self-control, social consciousness and administration of relations. The personal characteristics of an individual are very important to development of entrepreneurship as a need of an achievement, internal control, tendency to risk, self-reliance. Identity and Logic- Students learn to think critically and effectively. Perspective and Relationships are key for students to identify situations and facts to form ideas and opinions.

6. CONNECT, CARE AND COMMUNICATE- Inclusive education, value-based learning and sensitivity to the needs of diverse learning groups are contributions each student brings to the classroom, sensitivity towards the less fortunate members of the society and support of benefiting them are the ethical and human values that are strongly inculcated in the students. Communication involves conveying the right messaging in a meaningful way for the benefit of the community at large

The approach of i-CUBE is based on the fundamentals of Multiple Intelligence (MI) that recognises multiple talents in every child. It is a ‘holistic learning framework’ that focuses on the development of the ‘whole-child’; every student's intellectual, emotional, social, physical, cognitive, artistic, creative and scientific potentials.
